OWSD President meets the new TWAS Executive Director
The meeting was held during Prof. Murenzi's visit to Beijing from 16-23 July 2011
Prof. Fang Xin, President of OWSD, met with the new Executive Director of TWAS, Prof. Romain Murenzi, on his recent trip to China. During the visit, they agreed to continue enhanced collaboration between OWSD and TWAS on a range of existing and new initiatives.
One new program coordinated by OWSD China National Chapter, OWSD and TWAS is "Empowering Women in Science – The Role of OWSD in Promoting Women's Participation". This program was approved by the OWSD Executive Board at its recent meeting in June.
